Pause & Junk Free June

Guys. I have had to make a bit of a tough decision. For the next few weeks I am going to put blogging on hold while I concentrate on my upcoming thesis review at the end of June. I have a lot to do and very little time in which to do it, so I need to focus all my creative and critical energy into my presentation work. Bear with me until the end of June; I will be back with a little more time and energy to put into My Name In Bold.

In positive and exciting news, over the next month I am participating in Junk Free June. For those of you who don’t know, Junk Free June is an initiative set up by the NZ Cancer Society to raise money for the charity and also to promote healthier eating. I am giving up sweet treats that are high in refined sugar, simple carbohydrates and saturated fat (like cakes, sweets, cookies, slices, milk/white chocolate, soda, milkshakes etc). I’m giving myself the option to eat healthier replacements as long as I make them myself. I don’t tend to eat much fried and greasy food, or “junk”, but I do eat a lot of cake from cafes. As you well know.

I’ll blog about my experience when I return! In the meantime, feel free to support me, my team (the ladies I work with) and the NZ Cancer Society by donating to our campaign HERE.
