So, Melbourne was exceptional and I miss it so much already, especially the food. I think I have some serious post-holiday blues going on judging from the amount of time I have spent sitting in my room watching Orphan Black and eating healthy-ish chocolate treats… Take me back!!
The “serious” part of the trip was attending a student of architecture congress called People. Oh, and by “serious”, I totally mean serious, even the beers in lecture and the pub crawl #studentlyf. It was my first conference and I felt like a proper grownup with my lanyard and my new notebook and free scale ruler. Yep. Nerd. Three days of lectures makes anyone feel like a grownup, especially when they usually spend their days drinking coffee and making things out of cardboard… I’m five. I mean, fine.
I went with my lovely friend Jackie and a few other brilliant archinerds from our school. We backpacked. We made new friends. We shopped, a lot. We ate until our bellies couldn’t take anymore. We discovered the ultimate brownie. We went to San Churro one too many times. We explored. We went on adventures. We laughed, we drank, and we danced.
Here is Melbourne through my lens (and a couple of other lenses too).
My girl Jackie – THANK YOU for being an amazing travel buddy!
